We are a thriving housing co-op of 7 adults and 3 young people aiming to live as sustainably as possible in our large Georgian house and 20 acres of land. We are seeking new members (3-4 adults and up to 3 children) to join us in managing our woodland, growing and processing fruit and vegetables, eco-renovating the house and outbuildings, running our community-supported market garden, increasing our sustainability and supporting the social/environmental movements through hosting events.
We’re looking for practical/resourceful people who are able to commit at least 2 days work per week and are child-friendly. We have several rooms available, potentially suitable for a range of different individuals, couples or families. You don’t need capital to join – we are tenants and pay rent. We share communal evening meals which are vegetarian/vegan. For more info, see our entry on the Diggers and Dreamers website.
If you are interested in exploring membership, then please get in touch and we will send you more details about the community and the opportunities available. We are open to informal visits as well as holding a couple of prospective new members’ weekends in early January and February to give you a chance to come and see if it is for you. Please contact us before visiting.
